Eye infection?

Just got home from the vet and the vet thinks he may have burned his eye with the light. Since it's just the one eye and there is no discharge, no gaping, no sensitivity when he was waving his finger near his eye (which I thought was weird). So he prescribed some eye drops that are a type antibiotic with steroid to be given every 8 hours. I have raised his uvb light and his heating lamp back up.

Also, does the vine in there have debris that falls off or is Exo Terra? His cage could be more full, as well, on a side note. I can post some cage set-up links if you want!

What's the distances from basking and UVB bulbs to branches and the strength of UVB?
Basking is 1ft 4in, a hiding spot he likes though is about 6in from the T5.0 HO 24Watt

No the vine doesn't have anything that falls off. His cage is so packed. I'd have to build shelves to fit anymore stuff in there. I put together that pvc set up to hang the pots. The vines are already starting to grow out. It will fill up again. Remember I just redid everything due to his worms, which I'm happy to say I haven't seen any in his poop since the last treatment 😊

Which strength of ReptiSun- 5.0 or 10.0? If you could add in some branches and more vines, it'll escalate his enclosure and provide tons more ways for him to get around and explore!

I havent caught up but I have a female who has reoccuring issues with her eyes (keratin buildup). I took her to the vet numerous times over a year requesting her eyes be flushed, and it was always “something else.” Finally the 4th vet (not kidding) knew how to and finally flushed her eyes. In 10 minutes they got the buildup out and gave her vit a shot.

Its been 2 or so years but shes having issues again. Same standard supplementation as the other 9 chams, she just has different needs. I’m sure Beman and MissSkittles got your husbandry reviewed, but its worth vet visit to check his vit a and get his eyes flushed. Its an outpatient process.

I also keep emergency first aid saline wash tubes on hand. I use them somewhat often between 10 animals. It seems like once a month one has an itchy eye or shed Stuck or irritating them. Its been helpful to lubricate their eyes to help soften and work it out. Not the same as the real flush the vet will do, but similiar idea.

Go to Dr. Pacheco at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists! She's AMAZING, and has flushed one of my previous cham's eyes before, along with catching stuff previous vets missed, too!

I've been taking him to Dr. Garner at Safari animal clinic. So far they've been really helpful. He seems to know what he's doing, he's not afraid to handle him at all. I went ahead and enrolled in a plan. It's only $15 a month and it includes 12 office visits and I've already brought him 4 times lol.
