Eye close often

Hi, I have a pretty young male veiled chameleon. lately, his eye has been closed often, but there in no crust, ooz, respitory infection that I know of, or recent shedding. He seems to do it as defense mechanism lol. Like he's saying "please don't hurt me." I'm kinda concerned. I made myroom hotter and he seemed to be more awake and alert. What shouuld I do, or what do you think it is.

I also think a shower could help him incase he has something in it. How would i do this? just hang some plants in my shower and let him climb?

Closed eyes is one of the first signs of illness. You can try a nice warm shower but a vet visit would be better. To shower point water at the wall, to where you get the most water bouncing off the wall as you can. Put a tree or large plant in shower, to where the bouncing water hits the tree. Put your chameleon on tree and leave for 20-30minutes and supervise closely.
