Exterminator coming to spray...

So, this morning I was attacked by something that I thought was a regular mosquito. It like divebombed my leg and could actually feel it bit. Later this morning I pulled out a end table that was put in our shed and has been in there for awhile only to bring in a HUGE hornet with me. It never came to my mind to look for hornets.

Well later this afternoon after feeding Ringo a super I seen a WHOLE bunch of hornets swarming the window that he was near (so glad they cant get in). I called military housing to get someone out here to spray tomorrow. Now Im going to have to either finish the new cage tonight and move Ringo into our room. Or forbid our cat from going into our room tonight and move Ringo in. Not sure what to do and I dont want Ringo to breath in spray since the nest is next to the window he likes.

Then I have to move the crickets and roaches *sigh* Ringos going to hate me tonight.

I realize ur not spraying indoors. but be super careful about vents or open windows. I'd block the room he's in totally off. Towels over vents and door cracks and and leave him for a few days.. pest sprays are just as deadly to ur reptile as the pests it was designed to kill.. this is from research I have done.. if u do bomb ur house or something like that its recommended u move ur herps out of the house for 3 weeks to a month while fans clear ur house..

I hate it and they just had to choose Ringos window to make a nest. And what's worse is the windows aren't even sealed properly I have to make dinner yet and I don't think I'll have enough time to finish the new cage

That stuff they use for hornets is really like a sticky liquid. Yes, they put it through a sprayer but it doesn't really get into the air, it stays where they spray it pretty well. They put that wand right up on the nest, they don't spray from a distance. My mother in law just had 5 nests (YIKES!) sprayed around her house.

I agree you should use caution, but I don't think this is as dangerous a situation as you might be afraid it is.
