Hello everyone
i ordered 4 of these last week and just got them today i opened the box and i find what looks to be 2 different types
100_0027.jpg

as you can see 2 say waterproof right on the box and 2 of them don't and their textures are totally different the two that don't say waterproof are crumblely and soft (gives in a little bit then you squeeze it) and the two that say waterproof are more solid (doesn't give in when you squeeze it) and look to be sealed.
has this happened to anyone else or anyone know if the two that aren't labeled waterproof are in fact waterproof but they are just in an old packaging or if i need to send back and get new ones? thanks for any info

oh ya their product #s are different also the two that say waterproof are PT3085(the small one) and PT3086(the large one)
and the other two are PT3080(the small one) and PT3082(the large one)
thanks again

Perhaps you should call the company you ordered from and ask if there was a mix-up on vines?

i tried but they where already closed by the time i got them.... stupid EST time:mad: ill try back tomorrow if no one has had this problem here.

i checked the exoterra web site and i did a search and typed in the item #s of the 2 w/o the waterproof label and it didnt have a match the two with the waterproof label did though.

just got off the phone with the store and as i was hoping its just old packaging :D and an older version is what they said about the textures being different apparently they're making them a little different this year
don't have to deal with the hassle of returning and online order thank god

They are in the process of changing the vines, they are going to the waterproof vines as they are easier to clean. i have both and they will both work for you, no problem.

I use both types and i haven't seen any real difference. I find them quite expensive when you want to use mostly these vines, but they are worth it in my opinion.
