exoskeletony poop

Hi,

My guy is pooping what looks like normal-shaped poo, but it looks a bit like there's lots of exoskeleton in there? Could this be because I gave him 3 meal worms per day for 3 days? I've stopped feeding them to him now, on the advice from this website. I know my axolotls also have problems with the high chitin.

I've managed to stabilise his basking temp at 84 (29C-29.5C), his urates are nice & white, he eats about 9 feeders per day (locusts and crickets & occasionally worms)

yes, that many mealworms can cause that.

oops. It's a shame because he LOVED them, but, fortunately, my hedgehog loves them more.

Monty also loves them but he only gets the newly moulted 'white' ones. In fact, the only time i gave him a brown one, he took a bite and spat it out!
