Are my crix dying or growing? I keep finding shells of them, but there are so many I cant tell!!

They are fed repashy bug burger ( they eat 4 big cubes a day!!!) and celery carrots, apples and grapes!!!

(sorry bout all the !!!'s, got a shot for a migraine lol)

They do shed exoskeleton as they grow, it looks empty and hollow. Dead crickets just look like dead crickets!

If you put a small deli cup with damp soil in the box you'll see all the females (the ones with a long buttspike between the two shorter buttprongs) run over and shove their buttspikes in the soil. I've never seen an egg, but I switch out the cup after a week or so and put it in a nursery tub and the babies hatch.

Good to know! I've wondered about this as well. I thought it was from them eating each other...

Most people do.. When I was working at Petco people would complain they would die too fast. They kept them in the same plastic bags, no food, water, or egg crates. 50 would last them 2 days. This happened atleast 5 times that I can remember.
