I ordered 6 small exo-terra vines from lll and I thought they had the metal that went through them so you could bend them into place but they are actually tubing with stuff on it so when you bend them they dont keep their shape.....any suggestions?

fishing line... go piece by piece and every time you hit the side of the cage, tie it in place with fishing line... I guarantee it'll keep it in shape

not shure this will work but try pulling the tube out and replacing it with thick copper wire. may work;)

Hello,
this may sound paranoid to you again, so i have to point out that i´m only telling you what a vet specialized on reptiles told me and that even i think this may be a little to much of being careful.
Anyways he said, that he has already seen few (1-2) chameleons how lost theit tongues after hitting a fishing line while hunting. I guess this is really unusual and i just heard of this a couple days ago, but maybe it´s better to use a thicker line that your cham can see better.

i agree, but overall, you should be taking precautions with whatever you put in the enclosure.

exo terra vines dont suck, but there are deffinately better ones out there. try Bio-Vine, or rubber (not cork) reptile vines. rubber is more stable and will keep the shape alot better. although it is all in how you construct and connect vines too that help alot.

uhh ohh looks like someone got stuck with the old version of the line and not the new ones!!! lol:cool: lllreptile must be trying to move out their old stock.

very true. did LLL even ship you the waterproof vines?

well mine are those and they bend to what i want you must of got the old version cause mine are solid and not that soft. someone got duped sorry to hear about your bad luck

I may have to modify them myself, I have some 10/2 that I can run through my enclosure then cut the ends on the vines and run them over the 10/2, it may work out better because i can do a continuous run
