Does anyone have a exo terra monsoon , mist king or repti rain...I will be purchasing a chameleon soon and would like to know if I should purchase one of these and which ones are good for chameleons or if its not good at all. Ive heard that the exo terra monsoon is kind of a hard sprayer I dont want to hurt my chameleon or stress him out i have a fogger right now that I use for my other reptiles but for the sake of a chameleon that needs more attention and spraying needs I feel like it may be good investment. let me know your thoughts!

LOL dont get me started on the monsoon !!!!!!! I have had nothing but problems !!!!!!!! My first one last about 5 months then burned out......Then I went to the store and bought a brand new one that last a week and a half and burned out...... :mad:

I have nothing but bad things to say about the crappy mister. I myself am looking to buy a Mist King. It has a 2 year warranty on the actual pump. You cant go wrong with that ! In fact Ill be buying it this weekend. Its not as pricy as the monsoon.....Well it depends on what set up you get for it. But If I were to say anything or suggest anything I would say Mist King all the way just because of the 2 year warranty....... I hope this helps

:eek::eek::eek:

I Have a mistking and I Love it.

The sprayers are really soft. When i put my hand in there i dont feel the water hitting me, just my hand getting really wet. The starter kit comes with a timer that is really easy to use and simple set up.

Since I've set it up i have never had a problem with the pump or any of the hoses. Simple insert and go kinda deal. Cut tube to length desired and you move on.

I chose the Mistking over Aquazamp or Monsoon because i thought it was a better deal, plus I purchased it when they had their free shipping deal.

THanks a lot that really helps ya I saw a video on youtube that showed the difference so I want to have the safest spray for my chameleon so I'm going to get a mist king . Do you know if you have to cut anything in a tank to make the mist king tubes fit insdie of a exo terra?

I have the monsoon, don't get it. I found out about it after i bought it and now stuck with it. I even tried to take it back with no luck. It sucks. Less then a week old, using distiller water, and one nozzle was clogged. Can't wait for it to die, so I can replace it.

I would personally invest in either a Mistking or Aquazamp misting system. I personally have the Mistking and love it. I've had it for almost 3 years now and its not given me any problems what so ever. I've even let the pump run dry with no apparent damage.

I don't personally own a Monsoon but I know many who have and very few (1 out of 5) have had a good experience with the unit.

I have no experience with the rain-dome devices but I will definitely be getting one in the very near future.

Even though I'm a Mistking owner I like the design of the Aquazamp rain domes.

Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of Chameleons.

I just purchased a Mistking a few weeks ago and am really pleased with it so far. It was just about the same price as the Monsoon and I bought it locally.

Like others have said, its a very fine mist, the timer was very easy and straight forward to set up. The pump itself is actually pretty quiet. Its so nice to have my cage all set up on timers and water now. I dont have to worry about him when I am gone at work for 12 hours.

I have used the Reptirain/habamist system. Its ok as a starter but the spray is very coarse and the reservoir doesn't hold much water at all. I got mine (Habamist) in the kit offered by Screameleons. Its the only thing I didn't use out of the kit. I had purchased a Mistking instead.

But unless you need something on a severe budget I still would recommend Mistking or Aquazamp. I do however recommend the Habamist/Reptirain over the Monsoon.

You should have to do any modification to an exp terra terrarium. Towardsthe back, on the top of the terrariums, there are holes on both sides designed exactly for running tubing into the cage and/or thermometer/hyrometer probes. There are several holes on both sides that very in diameter and there is a slip cover that adjusts to cover hole that you do not use.
