exo terra fogger

I managed to find a practically new fogger at a local yard sale, only cost me $10 and I tried to use it last night. I didnt want to use a bowl for fear that my cham would either fall into it and drown or maybe scold himself in the hot water so i used a gatorade bottle with the opening cut out so as to fit the fogger into it and when i first plugged it in it didnt really make any fog but rather alot of bubbles and the red light was blinking rapidly. i poured out some of the water and it did get fog but most of it stayed in the bottle instead of pouring out like i hoped it would but at least the light stayed on without blinking. since it was used it didnt come with the box or manual so can anyone fill me in as to what it means when the light blinks or stays solidly lit? also whats the best amount of water to use to get a good fog going?

yes it was a 20 oz bottle of gatorade fill about 3/4 of the way to the top and the fogger was resting on the bottom the first time i tried it and the light was blinking. the second time i only filled it about half way and i got a nice amount of fog and a steady lit light, no blinking but im not sure what the blinking or steady light mean.

i think youre supposed to put it in a shallow dish - try it without covering the entire thing (leave the top out of the water)

well i actually contacted exo terra website and they sent me a pdf of the fogger unit with a hand written note saying that it should be submerged in water 2-5 inches deep but no mention on it about my initial question, that being what it means if the led light is blinking or not.

well here is an update, if not on the light blinking then on my cham and how much he likes the fogger. I placed it directly under him about 2 feet below him while he is up on his highest branch closest to the basking bulb area. after about 5 minutes or so with the fog reaching up to him he immediatly bee lined for it and actaully dunked his entire head into the fog/mist and licked the outer edges of the shortend gatorade bottle and when he licked up all of the water beads from there then he dipped his entire head as far as he could and drank straight from the bottle. I couldnt see his head or his casque thats how far it was into the mist and when he came up it was totally wet. Im assuming this is a good thing and a sign of his thirst? I normally mist his entire cage with a hand mister for several minutes in the morning and again after i get home from work.
