Exo Terra Dripper Plant

Hi guys I recently bought myself an exo terra dripper plant to make my life a little easier.
I just set it up and already having a few problems, anyone able to help with this?

First thing is that the dripper is really hard to get it to work, I set it up properly and it works fine, then I unplug it or move it and I wont work unless I mess around with it for a while than it starts working again.
Have I got a faulty one?

My main concern is that the dripper isnt high enough for my chameleon and he won't find it if he's thirsty.
Its around 50cm tall and he normally hangs around in his usual spots while are much higher than that(also its where the water usually drips from).
Anyone have the same problem?

Any help/advice would be appreciated

Blegh I find these worse than useless. One, chams will just poop in the water source, fouling it up and making a really nice bacterial soup which is absolutely no good for drinking. Two, they don't really work right at all. I knew someone who bought and returned these three times; they wanted to use them for their Uroplatus (geckos) but all three of them failed just as you describe. Unfortunately, I'd just scrap it and take it as a lesson learned, and go back to regular misting (hand or automated) with a dripper and proper drainage.

Thats really disappointing to hear. I was hoping this would make my life a lot easier when it comes to providing water for my chams :(

I used to use this.. I bought some fine mesh to put over water bowl and i removed the bottom the. Tied the dripper to a higher place in viv. Get some pipe from DIY shop think its 1/4 inch i took dripper with me to get a fit then j can move it up
