Today i was cleaning cages and i can usually leave for a while with my cham cages open and not worry about them getting out(or going faar in my panthers case) so i came back from hosing the poop off their braches and i heard rattling on the wall, i looked up and my veiled (somehow) got on a high shelf and was just chillin out, no clue how he got there:p, anyways heres the fun part, i went to go get him( i dont hold him often) and he lunged, so i got a branch and finally got him on there, but he was NOT happy:D, just wanted to share todays story with you guys

Xd that will definately happen. I left my cage door open to see where Waldo would end in a ten-minute span and he was chillen by the heat pad and roach cage.
I was all like,"Where's Waldo?"XD
Corny huh.:D:eek:

Yup that happen 2 me...he was on the wire from the heat lap and i saw though cage and i was Nooo...then he hissed and got under the heat lamp sum how... then he fell trying 2 get higher in my closet it was a intense

Happens to me all the time. Keiko, my 6 month female veiled, she's gotten out a few times, last time I found her on top of my future pygmy cage, still wondering how she got up there, probably the wires.

Waldo gets out all the time since I only have a sheet fashioned into a door for his cage. It's an awkward shape so I haven't been able to build a door yet. He'll usually crawl out and onto the back of his cage. One time he got out, I didn't know, but the dog did. BARK BARK BARK! I go and see whats up, Waldo is in the corner rearing up and black and my dog has him cornered. He was all too happy to jump on my hand and back in his cage that day.

That must have been a rough day for him.

i havent lost my yemans before but he does lunge at me all the time!! typical grumpy gits!!! haha. ya gotta love em though just like a grumpy old man!!

this is my first time, i didnt worry about leaving his cage open because i didnt expect that to happen, it was just so akward

One of my chams can actually climb some of our walls. The plaster texture is roughed up like stucco and off he goes. They are clever or maybe sneaky when they want to be :)

Thaxter's free range and usually stays within his defined territory, but if he makes up his mind, away he goes. His highlight was when he made it to the kitchen, climbed a brick hearth, and discovered the cricket cage (I found him perched on top and opened it so he could shoot a few).
