Hi Everyone!

So.. I sort of had to take Ernie out today.. one, because we have a vet visit on Sunday and I needed a little test run taking him out before then.. and two....

THE WEATHER WAS JUST TOO GORGEOUS FOR ME TO LET HIM MISS OUT!!!!

So here are some pics for you guys to see him out in his free range tree.. he must have enjoyed it as he decided it was ok to give me a sneak peak on his blues.. can't wait till they come out!

Enjoy :)

Ernie is very very handsome...I love his color and that yellow stripe along his mouth.....I'm sure he enjoyed his day outside.

He is really pretty out in the sun, colors are so much brighter when the chams can get out into the natural sunshine. The spot on his mouth, is that just a piece of food, where he has rubbed his nose on the cage or what? I am one of those who looks at anything unusual. I am happy you are enjoying Erine so much, they do capture your affection really fast don't they?

Hey Laurie :)
Yeah the spot on his lip was there before he came home with me.. I'm pretty sure from rubbing on sticks in the cage he was previously in. There isn't any infection and we have a vet visit tomorrow just to check it and be sure.
He still hates me (today he does not want to be my friend at all.. Didn't really enjoy the trip on my hand to the backyard) but he'll come around in a few weeks.. I think he's had a bit too much stress in the last month with transportation and cage changes etc.
Most important thing is he's healthy and eating and drinking well :)
He's such a cutie!!!

If you can keep getting him outside for a while, he will be happy to see you as he knows he gets to go outside. He will come to love you, just give him a little time.

Thanks Laurie :)
I did try again yesterday to see if I could get him outside again as the sun was out and the weather was perfect, but he wouldn't have a bar of it! I think we will have to wait a little bit for the next adventure :p
