Enclosure suggestions

Hey! I am new to the forums, and a new chameleon owner. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to buy a bigger enclosure without getting ripped off? ALSOOOO I just read that the zoomed light fixture that comes with the enclosure isn't enough. Since he is a baby, will this affect him right away? I am definitely getting a t5, but I just want to make sure he won't get sick right away.

So enclosures...
https://www.diycages.com/collection...ducts/sc4-48x24x24-jumbo-vertical-screen-cage
or
https://dragonstrand.com/ but dragon strand has a wait period on their cages.

Now I would do the DIY 2x2x4 cage then buy the dragon ledges and drip pan from dragon strand :)

Lighting. Really should not be waited on. How long has he had the compact fixture? I would get the 24 inch T5HO fixture now as it will not matter if it hangs over the edges of the current cage. For a single or dual bulb fixture you want the 5.0 or 6% arcadia bulb. :)

If you want tons of feedback then fill this out and post pics :)

Here is some recommended information to include when asking for help in the health clinic forum. By providing this information you will receive more accurate and beneficial responses. It might not be necessary to answer all these questions, but the more you provide the better. Please remember that even the most knowledgeable person can only guess at what your problem may be. Only an experienced reptile veterinarian who can directly examine your animal can give a true diagnosis of your chameleon's health.

  1. The more details you provide the better and more accurate help you will receive.

Hi welcome to the forums.

You said your chameleon was sitting under the light most of the time. He is probably trying to get warm. What are your temperatures in the basking spot and ambient temperature in the cage. If you copy and paste and fill out the form @Beman posted we can help give you lots of information.
