What spray paint would be best? Rustoleum? Click to expand... I would choose a water based paint that dries to a non-toxic finish...something like kid-safe Krylon.

Hoj Friendly Grasshopper Sep 30, 2014 #3 Used reg krylon on dozens of cages and never had a problem. Just make sure u do thin coats and let it get good and dry before using it again.

Hoj Friendly Grasshopper Sep 30, 2014 #6 Most krylon actually dries in like 12 min but I would give it a good solid day to allow any fumes to go away
