Enclosure Pics/ Questions?

Hello,
I have a few pics attached of my 2x2x4 cage from lll.
At the moment i have an umbrella tree,corn plant, and wandering jew all repotted and covered with rocks. Drainage out the bottom of the cage thru a hole into a kitchen size trash can.

I still need a feed cup and 5.0 reptisun (the light pictured is a plant grow light and 34 watt incandecent basking light)

My basking spot is 92-94ish measured by a digital probe.

Do i need more plant coverage towards the top?
Any suggestions on my set up?
This will be my first cham when i get him and want everything to be perfect!

a hanging pothos up top def wouldnt hurt. Other than that everything else looks good. Do you have a thermo/hygrometer to measure humidity and basking temps? How old of a veiled are you getting? Thats a pretty big cage for a baby.

Looks good to me....Im a minimalist, so the top area to me looks perfect.


But I will say this, I dont think your pet is a Cham......u might wanna check Wikipedia out so u see what one looks like...........this one u have will get outa that cage real fast!!

I plan on buying a sub adult or adult male veiled, would that be okay?

Do i need to measure the humidity digitally or with an analog device work?

us bully breeds owners are out here! if you ever have problems with your check out bulldogbreeds.com its a bully forum im on and its a bunch of fmaily people that are all for the better of the breeds

as far as digital vs analog, the general concencus is analogs are inaccurate which can go really really bad depending on how picky your cham is

Okay thanks for the advice on the bully forum, i will check it out although i doubt i ever have much problems with Ryder she is super friendly and playful/submissive towards other dogs even when they are half her size lol.

And thanks for clearing up my question bout the analog, i knew that they are bad thermometers from previous experience with snakes.... i just was sure about for measuring humidity.

i dont want to lower the basking branch (it is at 5 inches from the top) and risk loosing uvb exposure

and the light is as high as i can hang it and i can't find any bulbs lower than 34 watt at walmart or lowes unless i need coil which i know is a no no lol, would maybe a 40 watt flood light or something similar work better?

I have a 60 watt GE ultra clear or something stupid like that. Its a "full spectrum" house bulb and with the light 6 1/2" above the branch i get basking temps of 84-87 degrees

Use a regular house hold bulb. Try 40 watt. Also if you have the branch to close to the top he'll rub on the top....that happen to mine. They get UV up to 10 inches no problem.

do you have this minimalist approach for looks? to help with cleaning the cage? is it a benefit to chameleon? just curious
