enclosure for quad gracilior

Hi everybody, i'm planning to buy a pair or a 1.2 group of Trioceros quadricornis gracilior and i need some help to decide the size of their enclosure.. i would like to try to keep them together and i'm thinking at these size 60x80x100(h).. what do you thnik about?? i could also make a 80x90x1.20(h) cage if my first idea it's to small..

I assume your measurements are in centimeters. So that would be 23x31x39 or 31x35x47 in inches. Wile quads are not HUGE chams, I don't know that I would keep multiples in a cage as small as the one in your last option. I don't keep them so hopefully now that I've converted your numbers to something most people can understand on this site, some other quad keepers will chime in.

I'm basing my opinion on your largest cage idea as being too small more on the fact that having 3 separate basking spots and 3 separate feeding bins is going to be difficult in a cage this small. Wile yes you could put 3 heat lamps on top of a cage with a 80x90 foot print. The heat generated by those 3 lamps is apt to cook your quads.

Shan I agree with you, I have 2 quad, quads and they each live in a 24 inch by 24 inch by 36 inch cage. The female more that the male goes all over her cage. She is wild caught, I don't know if that makes any difference. My quads stay at about 72 to 74 degrees in the day and drop to 66 at night. They are at 80% humidity during the day with 95 to 100 % at night. They seem to be doing really well.

Thanks pure for the link!! i checked parameters at my home and i'm ok.. i go from 72 degrees in the day to a drop at night at 61 degrees.. and humidity is very high .. the cage will be of 23,6x31,5x47,2 inches!!
i'll post photos of the enclosure when i'll finish and also of my chams!!

I dont no if that would house 3 of them comfortably. Quads are my favorite cham, and ive read a bunch of different things on them over the years, and everything I think I remember was about a 24''x24''x36'' enclosure for each. Although I have never kept them, I can only give you links.

I thinked that a bigger house for them would be better but talking with other people they said me that the misure i was thinking are good.. now i would keep a pair, for a trio i'll see in the future!! and remember that quadricornis gracilior are smaller then quadricornis quadricornis.. they are very similar to montium.. for example i keep my T. Montium in a 50x50x100cm (19,7x19,7x39,4 inches) cage for each..

We breed quadricornis and have kept our 2 females and one male together at times, however the male does need more room then the female and honestly they do very well when the females are separated from the male. Honestly it is better to separate them anyhow because you want the females to get breaks in between breeding. The females get along great and a heating lamp is not necessary, as long as your temps don't drop too too low, none of our quads have heat. In fact they thrive with live plants, dual florescents (one for plants, other is 5.0), even our CB babies are doing well. Quads are great, we love them!

I've now competed my cage and i've also take my new pair of quads!! i will open a new thread about my trioceros!! now i post some photo of the enclosure without the uvb neon and some branches that i'll add tomorow.. tell me your opinion..
