So I just build a cage and just happen to have a acrylic cube tank that fits the dems of the cage. It is way to tall right now (21") but I am thinking about cutting it down to around 10" or so. (current dems - 21 3/4" x 16" x 21" h). Im doing to have a veiled male in the setup once he is big enough.
Now heres the questions.
Would i be able to make a substrate similiar to pygmy setups with the expanded clay pellets, moss, plants and such.. and not run into problems with mold, fungus and be able to clean up poo.
I can easily put a drain in this tank since its acrylic and I already have the bulkheads since I do saltwater aquariums. Cage will be on a auto misting system so good drainage is needed and I feel this tank would be a better idea than the wood base I originally planned.
If anyone has a setup like this with a veildys post up pics please.
