My new female Carpet, (about 1 yr old) who's color changed, but not to the extreme coloring of a typical gravid Carpet.
She seemed plump to me, and had a strange coloring, so I put her into a laying bin the other night. She didn't seem interested and just wanted to crawl out, so I put her back into her cage, after several hours.
Last night, I noticed her coloring returned to normal. This morning, I saw there were about 4-5 eggs that had clearly been dropped onto the leaves around her cage.
I have never had a gravid female before, so I haven't a clue as to what to do for her. Should I put her back into the laying bin? Is she finished? Is she in danger of egg binding?
Any help is appreciated.
