I would move the UVB so that it is going diagonally from one corner to the other. Better coverage that way, and be careful that he can't get too close to the basking light.

A few more branches and it'll be perfect!

The rubber tree in the enclosure is toxic according to the forums safe plant list:
Ficus elastica
General
Ficus elastica, or rubber tree, is an attractive plant that is commonly asked about in the forums. This plant is toxic and not recommended for captive chameleons.
Toxicity and Irritants
notes: dermatitis from sap

I love the set up though, that is one of the "fun" things I like about chams, designing and furnishing their habitat. I think, if I were a Cham, how would I want my house to be. :D

i went to FL chams and it has it on the safe list of plants...its a ficus elastica "burgundy" maybe i'll just get a new one instead of taking a chance.....and thanks for the compliment...it took a lot of time and hard work....it was well worth it though....i still wanna get a couple things for it then it will be complete!

I've been working on my 2 cages for over a month now and I "think" I finally have them completed. I've changed the drip systems and made my own and that takes time getting them just right. Then I'll see a limb in the cage that has a small branch that's in the way, so I'll snip it, etc. I don't do anything drastic though, just little touch ups here and there. I don't think I'll ever be completely done. BTW it's fun!

See what I mean, it's never really done. :D I used branches from a tree in my front yard instead of buying vines. As long as they aren't sappy or milky they should be okay. Especially fruit or nut trees. I didn't do a whole lot of cleaning of the branches since we don't spray.

thats a good idea...and cheap....dont you have to put the branches in the oven of something? i did that for my leopard geckos and snakes when i put there enclosures together....i forgot i did that...lol

I recommend baking them just to be safe. or scrubbing them down with a 10:1 water:bleach solution. If you are confident that it is safe though, many dont do anything but rinse them down and peel off loose bark.

No, but I would wash them in a bleach bath and rinse really well and let dry out completely. You don't want wet soggy branches to cause bacteria. When you mist, you do it early so the cage can dry out between mistings and I wouldn't do it at night.
