elliots chameleon

They are not good beginner chameleons. They are almost always wild caught (WC) and thus require very specific care to acclimate them, treat them for parasites, etc. You should research better starter species such as Veileds, Panthers, etc.

yeah but im not aloud either of them because they are large. but my dad told me to go small so im ganna go with the pygmy leaf chams because thier cheaper and because my cousint use to have a one. i honestly think i could get by with just about any species because i have bn reading about them all just about everyday since x-mas i think with a months time i could prepare for em i just got back from the store with more supplies to finsh my cage its ganna be mostly screen but the backs ganna be wooden and the one sides ganna be up against the wall. and im ganna cover the bottem with that beaked moss that holds humidy in and i plan on useing alot of "low" flowers like marigolds to create a lot of hiding places and help with humidity. im useing the pygmy care sheet off of flchams.com to make sure im keeping the cage right and the pygmy leaf chameleon care sheet off of lllreptile to make sure the temp and humity will work out.

marigolds might be a poor choice. they are generally used in gardens to keeps bugs away which might not be a good idea for use with animals that eat bugs. They also can cause irritation/blisters if cats dogs eat them so they are somewhat toxic I think .... there is a safe plants list somewhere on here that would be helpful. There is also a section on pygmy enclosures you should look at.

I saw a couple elliots at LLL last weekend. They are cute but I don't know enough about them to impulse purchase them right now.
