Eggshells in gutloading

Knowing how important calcium is, can eggshells be used in the gutloading process?? Was wondering if dubia roaches or crickets might consume them.

I’ve become so conscious of vegetable scraps that are thrown away in my kitchen and keep grabbing them for gutloading and eggshells crossed my mind today while preparing breakfast!

I used eggshells for quite a while...they need to be from boiled eggs or boiled to be sure there is no salmonella bacteria on them and then, when they dry out, I crush them with a mortar and pestle to a fine powder and sprinkle it on the fresh veggies I feed to the insects.
