Hi guys mated my friends female panther 23 days ago now she has eggs! how do i tell if they are fertile or infertile? The color? i know infertile eggs are yellowish but does it yellow over time or they are yellowish to begin with? He gave me 6 eggs as a stud fee for my male chameleon... Since 6 eggs don't really require a lot of space is it fine to put it in a small plastic container? what does "turn the eggs" mean? touch the eggs? pick them up? Some say you can't turn the eggs or they will die....

The are yellowish to begin with, but if you want to be certain...then wait a bit and the infertile eggs will begin to mold and then you will know :) The container will be fine...alot of people use different things to lay them in such as vermiculite. As far as the turning...they mean turning the egg around...different position and such. When they are freshly hatched it is fine to move them and turn them a bit, but after you have them in the bin, then do NOT move them.

If you rotate the egg after it has been laid for awhile the fluids inside will shift and could drown the little one inside, so after they are dug up and placed in a container be sure to not rotate them at all.

ok copy that but it is ok to take the container out right? i didnt bury the eggs just a teeny little bit so they dont roll around in the vermiculite.... i should just put the eggs sideways right? not vertically standing?
