hi i think my female might be ready to lay eggs but im new at this and this is my 1st cham. im going to take out the live plant and put in a laying bin theres not room for both. How long should i leave the bin in for to tell if shes really going to lay or not or if she can. is there a time fram that i can take the bin out by if she has not layed? i want to put her plant back in asap.

any one know how often a flap neck chameleon will lay eggs? is it only like 2 times a year or can it be more....i cant really do any thing more for it right now so its stuck with the live plant and pot it has. that wont work for a laying bin though. i can make one with the right kind of dirt in another pot but the pot i can use for a laying bin cant stay there always its to big. i cant put a plant in it only the one pot and plant is set up for water drainage and i cant move the cage ether to make better drainage. and i cant buy any thing diff right now. so i wana know whats a good amount of time if she hasn't layed do you think is ok to take the bin out and put the poted plant and drainage back??

I think pregnancy lasts about 4 weeks. If you can find out for sure that she's carrying eggs you will just need to leave it in there till she's done. If you're worried that she has no coverage during this time then you can put a blanket over the enclosure so she doesn't feel too exposed.
