Eggs not hatching completely

I am dealing with hatching eggs for the first time because they came with some chameleons we bought on Craigslist. We have about 30 eggs that were laid 9/4/2014. One of them hatched about a week and a half ago, and looked normal but I haven't seen him eat even though we give him fruit flies twice a day (ordered the fruit flies from Josh's Frogs). A second egg hatched 3 days ago, but something is still hanging out of its belly (maybe some egg yolk) and it also does not eat. A third egg partially hatched yesterday, but only the head ever came out of the egg and it died. We have been keeping the eggs in the small Tupperware tubs full of egg laying media that they came in when we got them, on a shelf at room temperature - about 70 degrees and adding a tiny bit of water if we stop seeing condensation. We check them every evening to see if any more have hatched. The fruit flies came with extra cups/lids which the fruit flies can't get out of, and I have even tried putting the oldest one on a twig inside an empty cup that I put about 20 fruit flies in and put the lid on so they could not get out. He let them crawl all over him and did not even seem to know they were food. I finally worried that they might be biting him and put him back in his screen cage. Does anyone know what might cause these problems? Is it usual for some eggs to only partially hatch?
