Current Problem -

EGGS
People on here have been telling me my gurl is old enouph to be laying eggs.. Just woundering if there are any signs when she is about too lay eggs? I'm woundering if what i found at the bottom of the cage today are eggs? (included picture)

Feeding
Just woundering for a vielded chameleon 6-7 months old what the proper diet would be for her, I'm feeding her crickets right now.. How many should i be giving her a day, i dust her crickets in Calcium without D3 everyday.. She just started eating again, since she's been in her new 'jungle' .. I've had her for about a week now & want to put her on a proper squedule seing as the stupid pet store had no idea what they were doing!

Humidity
For this i'm woundering if not having the proper humidity levels can do any serious damage to my little gurl. I've been misting with warm water atleast 8 times a day. Can you 'over mist'? I always wait till the environment is dry to mist again.

Live Plants
I've got this plant i picked up, i havnt put it in her cage yet.. It's called a Neanthe Bella Palm & i want to know if it's safe or not.. If it is i'll change the soil to organic and cover the soil with large rocks.

Please Heeeelpp! :) Thank yoouu

Also is the 'dry/white' looking spots on her side normal? "(included picture)

You're gutloading needs improvement...I already gave you information about this in another thread about MBD....
https://www.chameleonforums.com/liquid-calcium-mbd-73937/

I also gave you signs that a female might need to lay eggs in that thread.
If she has no mustard splotches she is not old enough yet. Eggs look like white jelly beans.

I don't know if the plant is safe or not.

The white spots on her side look normal to me.

She should be fine eating 5 or 6 large crickets a day at that age....or the equivalent mass in other insects such as superworms, roaches, silkworms, hornworms, etc.

If the humidity is a bit low its okay as long as the chameleon is well watered. When misting don't spray it directly into her mouth...you don't want her to aspirate it.

Yea there's not a very large variety of live insects here, but next run i'm going to give her some meal worms and crickets perhaps beatles?? If they are good gutloaders? Do you gutload mealworms the same way you would for crickets?

& when i mist should i get her pretty wet ? (not her head but her body)

No reason to get her completely wet IMHO.
I do gutload superworms the same way as I do crickets. I don't use mealworms as a rule...but I think they could be gutloaded the same way.

In My Humble Opinion.

That's pretty much what chameleon poop looks like. There's a gelatinous goo along with the feces and urate.

oh lovely, what are theese mustard splotches kinyonga is talking about

Hey, poop is poop...what are you going to do? Kinyonga is probably the board expert on keeping female veileds, She literally "wrote the book" or at least "the blog" on it.

You would be well advised to read over her blog post and bump it up against your husbandry. Reducing the number and size of infertile clutches lengthens your chameleon's life.

I thaught you had no control over her laying eggs? Ill definatly have to read her blog. thanks!

She may still lay eggs, but you can help reduce the size and frequency of the clutches which will be good for her.

I always thought in "My honest Opinion" I guess you could take it either way!

I'm sure it could mean both. I've always thought it was to say "this is just my opinion, I'm not saying you have to agree with me" which "humble" says a bit more.
