Eggs A' Plenty!!

So, not to rain on Brad's parade or anything, but my translucent female veiled just laid her first clutch of eggs. 71!!! I don't have high hopes for 19 of them, but they are being incubated all the same. She is a low end translucent and she was bred with another low end male, so, like Brad's recent postings of his low x low babies, it will be interesting to see how these turn out.

I never did give her a name and she has always been a rather big girl, but after seeing how many eggs she laid, I have now named her "Mac" (as in, Mack Truck....:)).....

Pictures will be forthcoming....

Wow, congratulations. I think it more amazing that you were actually HOME when it happened.

Yeah, amazing right? And I actually got to dig out the eggs myself, too!! :D

Good to hear you are cooking in this cold weather, congrats.:)

Cooking, indeed!! With all the cham lights going, our house is mighty toasty, which is good because the Chicago bitter chill has started - who needs a furnace when you have cham lights!! We're expecting 10 inches tomorrow night....
