egg? no egg??

hello,

so i have a 10 month old female nosy be. This past couple of days she has been more active, as in moving up and down her cage a couple of times, and has also been more cranky. Her usual colors are an aqua green with mustard yelow like stripes. But as of late she has been some what darker.

so my questions are

is she ready to lay?
and
am i supposed to keep a laying bin inside her cage at all times?

around her usual color, this was taken about a month ago. Her colors are much nicer now

ok ill do that... should the laying bin always be in her cage? i bought the materials ahead of time so i have everything and ill get her set up but after she lays or doesnt should i keep the bin inside her cage always?

this is a current picture of her atm. For now ill use a 12x12x10 bin that i have, after work ill stop by home depot to pick up a bigger one

She will most likely go off food a couple days before she lays. Its a pretty good indicator that she will lay soon.

Agreed with all the above. I had a female that wouldn't stop eating before she laid so I started leaving a lay box year round and she never shyed away from it

yea by tomorrow ill have the lay box set up in her cage


this was her last night, right now she's looking normal and earlier today she ate about 7 large crickets so idk

Set one up just in case. Not all females are so obvious. I always cover their cage with a sheet with a "peephole" so they feel they have privacy but I can't still spy.... Hahaha
