egg laying substrate?

will top soil do? slightly moisened with no fertilizers of course just straight all-natural top soil from the garden store?
anyone else use this?

I heard something like Playsand and coco husk.. or playsand and something else. It needs to be sturdy enough to hold a tunnel.

I use potting soil without any fertilizers and sand mix.

We use washed playsand that is damp enough to hold a tunnel, but to so wet that there are any puddles of water in the bucket.

I don't know about playsand but I use topsoil and a bit of cocco husk mixed together. The cocco husk was left to soak while the topsoil is only misted lightly. It seems to tunnel very nicely.
