I'm sorry, I should have said egg incubation medium on my other thread, not laying bin medium. My female panther has laid 3 clutches of eggs, the first clutch survived or were fertile, the 2nd clutch didn't make it or were infertile. So, with this one, I want to make sure we are moistening the vermiculite perfectly so they don't get too wet or too dry. We do have an incubator we keep them in because it's extremely hot in our house. So, what's the best way to tell that I'm getting the moisture level of the vermiculite right?

You should be able to take a handful of the medium and squeeze it and only get a drop of water out. If you get a lot of water it is too wet, no drips and it may be too dry.
