Egg bound...maybe?

Hi all! I'm an experienced cham keeper and I'm looking for some advice. I've always kept male chameleons but I have a friend who is having an issue with her female Veiled. She's is so bloated....she's huge. At first, we assumed she was getting ready to lay but I'm starting to have my doubts. This has been going on for a few months now and she hasn't laid. She has a dig box and privacy, but no eggs. After seeing her chameleon in person, I'm suspicious it might be another issue entirely. She's eating, drinking, and pooping with no issues. Also, she doesn't have that "full of marbles" look. I've checked with her keeper and temps/supplements/food is all on point. She's fed about 4-5 crickets per day. I had hoped to get some pictures of her with a relaxed belly but she is a grumpy girl. Also, if she DOES have eggs, they are 100% infertile.

If you can fill this out it would be helpful. She does look very bloated. Are you sure her lay box is set up properly? Correct moisture? How old? Has she laid in the past? There is many helpful people here but the more info you can give the better.

Chameleon Info:

As stated above, this is not my chameleon but a friend's. I'll answer all of these to the best of my ability

Your Chameleon -Veiled Chameleon, Female, approx. 9 months old. Was purchased from a pet shop October 2017, very small.
Handling - Rarely. Less than once a month
Feeding - Usually crickets with some superworms. Dubias occasionally when available. 4-5 crickets daily. Feeders gutloaded with carrots but I'm not sure with what else
Supplements - Unsure of the brand but I know she uses calcium with and without D3
Watering - Has a dripper and is misted twice a day
Fecal Description -Normal. Firm with white urates. You can actually see one in the background of one of the photos (gotta take pics fast with her, haha). Has not been tested for parasites

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Small, screen enclosure currently with a dig box and barricades for privacy. Dig box is clean, play sand that is damp enough to hold its shape.
Lighting - UVA, UVB lights on a 10 hour timer
Temperature - approx. 70-85. Overnight temps don't go below 65. Probe thermometer to measure temps
Humidity - Unsure. She has a temp/humidity gauge combo. She also mists twice a day
Plants - I believe she has a pothos
Placement - Located in her bedroom, very low traffic and not near any fans or vents. Cage is placed on a bookshelf (slightly above waist-high)
Location - WV, USA
Current Problem - See above

She's very young so this would be her first clutch. The digbox is right but I've considered switching it to a different substrate just to see if maybe she had a different preference.
