Egg Bound‽

This is Billie and about a week ago i noticed she became very active around her cage and even walking around the floor of her cage. I noticed this and set up a laying bin, well it was a pot, but it was someplace for her to lay her eggs. Unfortunately i did not have any play sand or organic soul so I used jungle mix that I used to put on the cage floor instead. It has been around a week and she still didn’t lay eggs and I’m wondering if she even has any eggs to lay, i’m also worrying that she might be egg bound, can anyone tell if she is or not? I also noticed a black line on her leg and I’m worried if it’s a cut or anything major, if someone could give any professional advice it would be much appreciated.

Yeah so that is going to make it hard for her to lay. When she tries to dig a tunnel it will not hold and the size is not very large for her. She does look a bit plump. I do not see cause for concern with the black line.

Has she gone off food? This is very typical prior to laying.

This image will help you. I would ensure that you have a proper lay bin asap due to her age.

She still eats normally but i have been feeding her a bit less
Well we feed females a certain amount and they have a reduced basking temp. Let me know if you want more info. But normally they will go off food prior to laying. If she has not yet than she more then likely is not ready yet. So getting her lay bin corrected would be good because it will not stress her out.
