Eating things off the ground?

Does everyones cham's do this? Right after i fed him, he just runs to the bottom of his cage and eats up some stuff sitting on the ground. Idk what it was but i just freaken cleaned it and then he started shedding the day i cleaned it so it might of been his own skin?

Probably his skin.. When my Cham sheds it just eats his own skin before it even falls of.. Like rips it off of him and eats it.. Lol so delicious but nah mine never went to the bottom of his cage.. Sorry cant help yah there :|

Weird fellas, arent they lol. I honestly think he was just doing it for attention cuz i had seen him do it before and i would always shoo him off or spray him lol. And i had him out earlier today, letten him free range and gave him a shower and been given him alot of attention. Then i went to work for 7 hours and he ran up to the door as soon as i got back, changed to a really pretty color, kept tryen to climb out. Idk it might be sumthin else, thats just my hypothesis.

They do eat their shed skin. I'm sure that's what happened.

Mine did that a couple times in her beginning enclosure when I wasnt as informed and wasnt on the forum. She would go down to the bottom and just stare at the coco husk and shoot at it lol no idea why but she did. I got a huge piece out of her mouth the one time lol she grabbed that so quick. Good thing I was watcher her
