My nosy be male is now had slowed his eating dramatically. He use 2 eat all of his food immediately. Now it takes almost 2 days 2eat what he would when he was younger. He is only 6 mths. Wondering if I should start him on reptaid?

Chameleons do that. I wouldnt be concerned unless he wasnt eating . Sounds normal to me. If you are still concerned let everyone know your care and we'll let you know if everything is ok.

I agree with Jack. You might want to switch up his feeders. Are you feeding a variety? they will get bored with the same old thing all the time and you cannot blame them!

I feed hima variety, the 2 staples are dubia and crickets, they combine for about 60%. Horn worms, butterworms, and mealworms make up the rest.

My veiled slowed down his eating at about that age. He went from 10-20 feeders per day to just 4 every other day. He did it quite suddenly so I thought he was on hunger strike, or was ill, but it's just what they do. Saves me money on feeders at least!

thank god i found this thread loll. my veiled is doing the same thing right now, hes only 5months... i noticed it happened right after he shed... but he will eat a lot of raw greens... just snatched some raw kale and dandelion green as i was typing this

I haven't had such a drastic change in eating habits with any of my others. I was just worried if he's getting enough nutrition.
