eating poop?

i caught my crazy veiled thalamus doing this twice so far. while in the process of pooping, she sees it dangling below her and tries to shoot her tongue out to eat it. before she did though, i shook her cage to get her attention so she would stop. thats disgusting! have any of your chams tried eating their own poop before? this girl is driving me crazy..

i should schedule an appointment for the vet soon for a fecal and check up. i think she might have some edema in her neck and shes still occasionally sitting with her mouth open (see this post: https://www.chameleonforums.com/open-mouth-under-uv-light-36452/) i still dont hear popping or see heavy breathing and her temps are the same as theyve always been.

I have never heard of that before! Maybe she thinks its a worm? That's really weird though! I hope Kamish never decides that his poop is a worm and tries to eat it!

My Ambilobe Panther is doing this, I've noticed it a couple times now, yuk!! I'm keeping the cage floor as clean as possible to discourage it! Thank god I haven't noticed him get sick from it!
