eating leaves

I jus saw my new female panther eating leaves. I have seen my vieled do it a couple times and i have heard its not a big deal and that vieleds will do it sometimes. Is it common for panthers?

Dried, or right off the branch green leaves?

She ate one and i didnt see what it was but the second one was dry and i pulled the rest of the leaf out so she couldnt eat the rest

She looking for food, and see perceives leaf as a insect. Dried Ficus leaves are similar in size and shape of a large cricket.

okay she has crickets in her cage and some silk worms in a cup so maybe she just got confused

I've had panthers eat leaves (green and otherwise). Its not a worry, assuming you use safe plants
