Eating concerns

Hey Gang,

I've noticed my juvi veiled cham isnt eating as much as I read others do. I got her monday and as soon as she went in the cage she waited 5 min and got a cricket. I didn't see her do it the rest of the day. Tuesday AM I left some (maybe 3) in there for her to hunt. When I got home after work I toss in some crickets and watched her eat 2 before leaving to a friends place and giving her alone time (she so new from the pet store I like to let her chill solo). This AM I put in approx 4-5 crickets before work but upon coming home I noticed them still in the cage which concerns me. I have seen her lick the cage a bit to drink but not much. A good sign I got today was she finally got in the vines to which my dripper is above so she knows that where her water will come down other then sprays. She's form a pet store so she is timid.

I guess my question/concern is, is this normal, could it be just the a stress of a new place? Could the crickets be to big? I seen her eat a good sized one on tuesday so its size became my normal size when selecting them. Shes small should I get some worms? I have added all my info from the help questions below. I am prob just over reacting and she will eat in time. As I write this she is in her vine getting a drink.

Any previous experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. I think he's animals are the coolest thing ever and just wanna make sure i'm doing my part for her.

Thanks in advance,

Eddie

Chameleon Info: Juvi Veiled approx 2.5" mouth to butt
Your Chameleon - Veiled, sex = unknown (no bump under tail or spurs yet), age = unknown
How long has it been in your care? today is day 3
Handling - only once when I put her in
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? Dusted crickets. What amount? I leave 3-4 in the cage when I go to work and add more when I get home if they are gone. What is the schedule? I gave crickets 10 min or so after morning lights spray and drip. How are you gut-loading your feeders? not yet but am starting tomorrow with a new batch.
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? Using Repti Calcium without D3, all crcikets are dusted with it.
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? I spray the tank 3-4 times a day. How often and how long to you mist? misting approx 1 min or so each time. I also have a home made dripper that runs most the day when i'm home and I start it fresh when I leave for work (lasts approx 45 min)Do you see your chameleon drinking? I have seen her lick the cage a few times. As I was leaving the house today she finally found and climbed in the vines/leaves that the drips run into.
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? Only see brown droppings as of yet but due to having a moss substrate some may have falled. (i'm taking out the substrate as I used it for humidity when I forst got her but I think now I can swap it for just paper towel).
History - She was bought monday AM at a local pet store ( I know not a great idea)

Cage Info: Reptibreeze cham kit
Cage Type - 16x16x30 screen cage
Lighting - I have the light fixture that my kit came with. I use a 13w 5.0 UVB bulb and a 100 watt basking light. (tomorrow im rasing the basking area and lowing bulb to 75w)
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? Cage floor is usually 70ish basking area is 90. temp at night is prob 62-64. I measure with a digi thermo that came with the kit.
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? I have a live plant that the name escapes me but is being swapped out for a pothos gold
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? This is def a concern as the tiop of the cage is 5 feet from the floor. no fans or vents but its off in the corner of my living room.
Location - Where are you geographically located? Eastern Canada

If your chameleon has no spurs, then it is a female. They are born with them to my knowledge. As far as her eating, yes it is quite normal for her not to eat alot. Give her time to settle in. It is good she is eating, even if it is not alot. I would get some some small silkworms for her to heat.. They are a healthy worm to feed in comparison to some of the others.
