Earthworms anybody?

Welcome to the addiction :) I dont know an exact YES or No on the question, but because of chameleons live high up on trees in their natural habitat, i doubt the meet and eat earthworms :)

I've heard earthworms carry a lot of internal parasites that can infest your cham. I'm sure others with more experience will chime in about it.

If you're feeding earthworms you find around the house or neighborhood, keep in mind they are probably filled with fertilizers, pesticides, and hormones used in gardens and lawns. They may also be filled with parasites. Knowing all this, I still feed one or two to my chams every 3 months or so if they'll take them. Most chams will recognize them as food if the worm wriggles around enough.

I also routinely and carefully treat my chams for parasites with a gentle/natural treatment about once a year. I only do this because I feed wild bugs to my chameleons. This is only my opinion and you may or may not agree with what works for me and my chams. I hope this helps!

Earthworms are high in calcium, but also high on the risk factor (parasites primarily). If you choose to use them, consider raising them yourself so you know what they've been exposed to, and have regular fecal tests done.

Awesome thanks guys. Was just curious given tiger worms and night crawlers are commonly available and would make for decent meals but hadnt heard of many people using as a food source.

I will keep it in mind and thanks again.
