Dying PLants

So most of my plants are alive, but the leaves are dying that are close to the heat lamps. Anyone have any recommendation on how to avoid this from happening? Also sometime the crickets hop in the water around the base of the plant and die. Any recommendation here?

Prune the plant branches so there are no leaves as close to the heat. The plant is trying to "self prune" itself so it doesn't waste energy on leaves that just get damaged. Put some pebbles in the pot saucer so the crix can escape the water.
