dwarf panther?

That's a great description of it, especially that it is regularly found in disturbed and secondary habitats. Seems like a good choice to establish in the chameleon community if only more would come in.

This statement was a little curious though, "Furcifer cephalolepis is one of 19 or so species of chameleon in the genus Furcifer all but two of which are endemic to Madagascar, the exceptions being this and the Mayotte Chameleon F. petteri (Glaw andVences, 1994; Jenkins and Rakotomanampison, 1994)." :D
 
Didn't mean to get your hopes up! It was definately there though. Do you know how closely the pardalis and the dwarf are related? I was really surprised at how similiar the head was on these two. Especially the casque. The ones they showed where just solid green though, no variation of green or other colors. Neat little cham though. David
 
Sure sounds like them. I don't know what to think but I'd really like to find out what happened.
