Dubia.com has FREE SHIPPING and a sale! I ordered 200 small discoids for $37. You have to go to the Free Shipping tab at the top of the page. The discoids are all the way to the bottom.
200 is a lot of roaches for my guy, but I'm hoping to get a colony started with them. I fed him his first ones this morning and he gobbled them up!

Hi Folks! Just seeing this thread... I too live in Florida and, as a previous northerner, am sad that I can't have Dubia Roaches in the sunshine state. Are Discoid Roaches the best alternative? Currently using crickets, but they smell and die quickly... If Discoid Roaches are the best, do you still have to gutload them? Thanks in advance!

Hi. Discoids are the way to go here in Florida. Yes, basically any insect which you’ll be feeding to your animal, you need to feed and make sure it is as healthy as possible so that it will offer maximum nutrition. Try banded crickets…they are much hardier and stink less than domestic crickets. Plus, her bugs are healthy, hardy and being in the state, no worries about having to add heat packs and stuff.
