Dry Food and Water Crystal Dishes

I have been putting my Dry Food and Water Crystals, on the floor of the container. But the food quickly gets scattered around and mixed up with their droppings, and the water crystals also get dirty and mixed up with droppings.

I cant find anything to use as a dish that has an edge, that the small crickets and dubias can crawl up onto...

What do you guys use as containers or dishes, to hold Dry Food and Water Crystals?

Quick Trip cup lids, the flat red kind. Works like a charm. (I buy drinks and save the lids, not just steal them them, lol.)

I use the wider lids from gallon containers from restaurants (like for mayo, salad dressings, jalepenos, etc.). They work perfectly for my crickets, and any restaurant should have a couple that you could have.

But the Baby Crickets and Dubias are able to climb up the edge? And they know they need to climb up the edge?

Heat the tip of an old ice pic and push it though the bottom side of lid to create a hole just big enough for the babies to crawl through. The food or crystals usually stay put.

I've never had baby crickets, 1/4" are about the smallest I've ever had, but they had no problem climbing the lid. Most of those lids have ridges to help you open them, so the crickets can get a grip to climb up.
