Dripper goop?

My dripper wasnt running the other day and I washed it out, put it back on, still didnt drip. Then I blew on the tube and a huge glob of goo came flying out? I washed it out thoroughly after that, anyone know what the hell that thing was?

That algae slime/ cyanobacteria will build up in any area you dont clean out. I blow it out the way you did, occassionally I'll pour boiling vinegar water through the tubes, and thin Pipecleaners can help. But mostly they are a pain to clean So I replace the tubing on my drippers every year

was it orange or green?
