Drip Tube inside the Viv?

So I have a "Little Dripper" that works great. My only worry is if it should be inside or outside the cage. As you can see in the picture, i have it zipped into the cage dripping over her favorite plant. But there is mucus on it from when she tried to grab it with her tongue. I don't want her doing this if it will hurt her. I don't think it did the first time because she ate two crickets just fine. But what do you guys think? I could always move it out of the cage. Thank you!

I have always just let it drip through the screen without the tube. If you are worried about her striking the tube, it does work fine to drip through the screen. I position the reservoir so that the drips fall on a vine. I have a Jackson's cham and he likes to sit upside down in the stream so that the drips run down his body and into is mouth (weirdo).
