drip/misting system

CORRECT! I do 2-30 minute mistings for 5 cham species.:D You could do a DIY dripper and see if the Cham uses it.

Nick
So if i go by this misting schedule, 20 mins a day twice a day and one 5 min in the middle (its quite dry where i live) i will not need to use any manuel misting or drip system?

Yeah I think I'm going to lose the dripper- I've never seen him drink from it i don't think he even knows its there! and damn crickets keep escaping... i would like to eliminate any holes in his cage =]
Thanks everyone,
Kelsie

I've only just put a 'DIY humidifier' into my enclosure and I've found thus far that if I let it run for a few minutes before I mist, the chameleon is much more inclined to sit in the spray and lap it up. Normally, he'd bolt around for a while, but the 'fog' (what do you call the stuff a humidifier produces? mist? fog?) really stimulates him to drink and shower.

Maybe if you're struggling with humidity you should try running a humidifier for a little bit and have two long misting sessions? I still run a dripper, but I think I've seen him use it 4 times in a 1.5years!

p.s - crickets will ALWAYS escape! It's a shame you're in America as over here we can use locusts and they're brilliant!
