I mist john street 3 times a day, and have a dripper going almost all day.. but I dont see him drink.. maybe he does it when Im not looking.. he eats like crazy sometimes too much.. I just started heating up his water will this help? I had him for 2 1/2 months now.. and every thing else seems to be fine activity normal, fecal has white in it,he hunts for food all day and I even see bite marks in plants.. he eats dirt none stop.. so I covered them with rocks.. but he still finds the bare dirt.. he loves that soil.. I got a repti sun 5.0 from day one..and his temps are 75 to 79 ambient.. he always looks at the dripping water.. but never drinks it... his eyes look slightly sunken in for what I can see.. should I spray him directly or is there another option? or maybe he is drinking when Im not around..

I have never seen my chameleon drink either. But, he has survived this long. So, I think it is suffice to say that he's drinking somehow.
It is highly possible that he drinks when you are not around.
and yes, heating the water will help. Generally, chameleon does not like cold water. don't let it get colder than room temp.

my chameleon is also big in eating dirt. I also cover the soil with rocks.. and he would find some way to eat it.. So, this time i just stop trying to prevent him. except that i do however get rid of any small pebbles, tree bark, etc that might cause impaction. White urate and moist poop is a good indications that he's drinking.

If you have a 5 months old cham or older and if you are worry of your chameleon not getting enough water, then i would suggest giving him a shower session at least once a week.

The only time I see my cham drink is during his first spray of the day. He wakes up at 6:30 a.m. and goes straight to his bask. I let him warm up there for about 45 mins and at about 7:15 I do the first spray. This is where he drinks for over a minute everytime. I find if I wait too long, like past 7:30 he doesn't drink....maybe his mindset has changed from water to food. After the spray and drinking, I put the food in at about 7:20 or so and then spray a bit more til about 7:25. He eats a few and sometimes drinks again after. Then I go back to sleep. Try a first thing in the morning spray..oh ...and warm water should make a big difference.

as soon as I spray he runs to the feeder cup to eat.. its like clock work.. he knows when I spray its feeding time..
