drinking from the spray bottle

since i got my cham ive been giving the tank a good spray with a spray bottle and he hates it, always trys and gets away from it.
but for the last couple of days hes been intrested in the bottle and started to inch over to it after hes clocked on wot im doin.
when i got home today i got the bottle out started sprying the tank and he jus come straight over to it sat in front of it and opened his mouth and just let me spray water in his mouth for a good few minutes to lol i was amazed this is the first tym hes let me do this and ive ad him since christmas.

Awww! That's brilliant! It's just so great when they do something new, especially when it means that they trust you! Amy still runs and hides in her schefflera whenever the dreaded sprayer comes near!

I've just had a similar occurence with our male veiled.
First thing each morning I mist the enclosure and try to spray him gently to encourage him to drink a little. He always starts to run at first but then stops in his tracks to drink some of the water running down his head.
Over the past week he has started to lift his head almost vertical as I have been doing this so I ease off the trigger to let the water drip onto his face. This morning he stretched upto the nozzle and started licking it as the drops were coming out.
I guess it may be a good time to introuduce a dripper.
I can understand how some chameleon keepers seem to get excited over these developments as you sense that they are beginning to trust you and interact with you more.
