Dried Out?

Is it possible to dry a chameleon out? She looks fine. I have to put a heat lamp on at night now because its getting cold here. Is it ok if it is point on here? Should I move it?

You don't need a source of heat at night unless the temperature drops below the mid 60's.

If it does get really cold, then use a source of heat that doesn't involve light and don't over do the heat. Night should be colder than day by 15-20 degrees and it should be dark.

If your providing heat make sure that where he/she is is below 70 degrees becuase in theory chameleons use the significant drop in temp. to strengthen their immune system, also lower temps promote better sleep and a happier,basking, chameleon in the morning time
