There really isn’t any specific way to drill a hole in the plastic base...just figure out where you will be putting your drainage bucket and drill a hole above that. However, having tried this before I had a problem with water accumulating between the table and the enclosure and if the enclosure moved even a small amount, the holes misaligned. What I would suggest is getting some sort of small piece of tubing and attaching it to the enclosure hole and put it thru the hole in the table. You’ll also want a way to guide the drainage towards the drain hole. A heavy plant will do...just make sure to put some sort of spacer so the water can get underneath it to drain.

Yeah I agree with @MissSkittles. Also you will still get leakage out the sides... Have you thought about getting a drip pan from Dragon strand to set the whole cage on? You can either wet vac it or do a gravity drain.

I was looking at the dragon strand pans but I was just wondering if I could just skip that and go right through the cage and the table but it looks like I'll have buy one to make it work, chameleons really break the bank ?

You need something for it to sit into.... So you can also look into washing machine trays. Something like this... then attach to the fittings a drain pipe https://www.amazon.com/DiversiTech-...22&sprefix=washing+machine+try,aps,215&sr=8-6
