Drainage puppy pads

Hey all, I had a bit of an inspiration last night and wanted to get feedback on the idea...

I have a pretty limited drainage system, but got the idea of using puppy training pads (without any chemical additives) as a liner for the bottom of cages, as they absorb moisture well, plus are cheap and easily replaceable. Thoughts?

You could try it, but make sure the insects you feed can't/don't eat any of it if they are free ranged.
