So I'm gettin my 2x2x4 cage soon so I'm building the stand and all but do you guys have any ideas for drainage?? I'm a bit stumped...

I am dealing with the same issue but at a larger scale, If I had only one cham I would seal the edges of the bottom with aquarium caulking, drill holes in the bottom below the ficus that would be raised on pedestal and drain into a bucket. I have to drain 15 plus cages so I am building a drainage system with a pvc frame, thick black plastic sheets that funnel into drainage line that connect to all my cages then lead into a main waste reservoir. I will post pics when it's complete as well as plans. I want to make something easy and cost effective for all of us cham fanatics.

this is a great post by summoner and i do this for all my cages. you have to buy the drainage pan but it's perfect for a drainage system and it looks nice since it's the exact measurements for the LLL cage.

Check the link. I use these for all my cages. I have a version in my reptile room that I have the pipe running outside so no emptying a bucket once or twice a week. This makes it easy for automisters or drippers. If you are building your own stand it should be easy. Hope this helps.

K those pics really helped like I just dont know what to use for the pan I have found any plastic for the pan like I got the stand juss no pan? Any ideas what to use.. And how much are the lll ones?

15 plus cages!!!! Pretty jealous noob here. Sounds like a fun project though good luck!
As far as the single cage I'd agree with what he said. That or a pan on the bottom

Sheet metal at a hardware store works if you can bend a 90° angle on al sides

For the sloping material I use PVC shower pan liner. You can get it in the plumbing section of either home depot or lowes. Just pull it across a plywood frame, staple it at the edge, and cut an X in the middle to squeeze a drain with a nut that will pull it down to create the slope for the water to drain to the center. The plywood sides are roughly 2 1/2" to 3" tall with a 3" plywood strip across the middle on the bottom for the drain to attach to.
These are the best drain tables out there Brian did these set ups for me and wow he is a genius they work perfect ever time..
